50 Comic Book Movies That Almost Got Made

43. Brigitte Nielsen€™s She-Hulk

During the early '90s Brigitte Nielsen was sort of a big deal and set to star in what could have possible been an interesting female-centred superhero movie. The actress was up for the role of She-Hulk and her alter-ego Jennifer Walters in a Larry Cohen-helmed She-Hulk movie. Nielsen, who had already played comic book character Red Sonja, even posed in-character for a She-Hulk photo-shoot. Not much else is known about the production, regrettably, so it's difficult to know exactly what went wrong. At the moment, She-Hulk is probably way down the list of projects on the Marvel docket; which is a shame, because in a lot of ways, She-Hulk is a more interesting character than her male cousin counterpart. Unlike Bruce Banner and his raging alter ego, his cousin usually has some control over her transformations into She-Hulk. For long stretches of Marvel continuity, Walters has chosen to stay full-time in her She-Hulk guise; a bombshell giantess with a brilliant legal mind. Think Xena meets Ally McBeal. How is that not a movie?
