50 Greatest James Bond Moments Of All Time

12. Goldeneye: Tank Chase

The Spy Who Loved Me
MGM

This chase scene from Goldeneye, in which Bond chases the film's villains through St Petersburg in a freaking tank, is another all-timer Bond action sequence.

The film's entire St Petersburg section is absolutely enthralling and a masterwork of gripping, visceral action that is not only perhaps the highlight of the whole film, but was also perhaps a definitive argument that, after the long gap between this film and the preceding one, the franchise really was worth continuing.

This kind of creative, gloriously mad action was not something many other film franchises was doing at the time and Goldeneye's Russia-set chase is a joyous ode to just how much fun James Bond is at its best.

This sequence hasn't lost any of its sparkle with age either, and it deserves to be called one of the best action movie moments of the 1990s.
