50 Greatest James Bond Moments Of All Time

10. The Spy Who Loved Me: Finale

The Spy Who Loved Me
United Artists

The Spy Who Loved Me features many awe-inspiring action scenes, but it saves the best for last with this insane, all-in finale in Karl Stromberg's tanker.

With this instalment, the studio really threw everything at it. The previous film, The Man with the Golden Gun, had underperformed and some felt that Bond had had its day, so United Artists really put everything into making The Spy Who Loved Me the biggest, most bonkers spectacle possible and oh boy, did they succeed.

This really comes through with this absolutely stunning finale, which remains a franchise high-point. A ferociously intense and beautifully choreographed ballet of bullets, explosions and OTT mayhem, this is an exceptional action spectacular that you simply won't want to end.

It's not quite the best finale in Bond history (more on that shortly) but it's very near the top of the list nonetheless.
