50 Greatest James Bond Moments Of All Time

9. On Her Majesty's Secret Service: Tracy's Death

More than fifty years on, the murder of Tracy Bond just hours after she and Bond were married is still a devastating dramatic wallop that rips right through you.

It's a heart-breaking ending to not only one of the best, most compelling characters in any Bond movie but also to a genuine, heartfelt and deeply moving love story and first-time viewers will be left just as broken and shell-shocked as Bond himself. Honestly, this will make many people cry.

Interestingly, although George Lazenby was a weak Bond for the most part he does very well in this scene, so he got the film's most important moment absolutely right.

The subsequent films in the franchise mishandled Tracy's death since she was barely ever mentioned and seemed to get swept under the rug, but the moment itself remains incredibly powerful.
