16. Chinatown - End Scene
The end scene in Chinatown, widely known as being one of the most shocking in history, really does pack a punch. We see a death that will no-doubt crush Jack Nicholsons character Jake, not only because of his interest in her, but because of the fact that she died in Chinatown the same place another fatality, witnessed by Jake, took place. And that final line. That final line is something special. http://youtu.be/7uSz0mEtEsQ
15. Persona - The Repeated Scene
This scene is perhaps the most brutal of them all. It isnt such a bad or messed up scene, but when put into context with the whole film, it will really make you think. Bergman creates these kinds of scenes so well, and thats because the rest of the film gives it value. http://youtu.be/mIKByxTU2nA
14. Pulp Fiction - Jules' Bible Passage
It is the most present motif in the entire film, Jules bible passage is at one time a cool, slick way of leading to an execution, but it eventually saves a mans life Jules life. The passage presents Jules as being something more than human, something, as his passage would suggest, biblical. It perfectly represents him just as other motifs represent other characters. For example, bathrooms are another notable motif, and it directly related to the characters of Vince and Mia. In turn, the biblical, Christian related motif directly related to the character of Jules: an always thinking, always sincere preacher who is caught up in the wrong trade. http://youtu.be/vMN5uQhF-Ro
13. Andrei Rublev - The Andrei Passion
It is, in my mind, the most underrated film ever created. It needs to be seen as it is a part of history. This scene, whilst perhaps not as great as some left out from the list, does help prove a point that Andrei Rublev and the Andrei Passion are so mystifyingly special. http://youtu.be/v1FmE2t9Y_I
