50. 12 Angry Men - Turn Your Backs
I must confess, 12 Angry Men is not as great a film to me as most say it is. I definitely admire the film, if not for its tension building values, than simply because it makes great use of such timid settings. http://youtu.be/gTDhgR3p12w
49. Toy Story - Opening Scene
The opening scene in Toy Story is one that is pretty much known to all, and rightly so. It warms my heart each and every time I see it, and it almost always makes me want to see the film again. The music, composed by Randy Newman, works so well at accentuating the truly stunning animation of Disney Pixars first film. http://youtu.be/zB2gPZRsz0Q
48. The Dark Knight - End Scene
The end scene in the Dark Knight is the most recent on my list. I added it mainly because of its surprise factor; the film, albeit a mass market one, was filled with chaos and Gothicism (void to my opinion). Though the ending was uplifting. We see Gary Oldmans character Jim Gordon say to his son: "Because he's the hero that Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now...and so we'll hunt him...because he can take it...because he's not a hero...he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector...the Dark Knight". And quite frankly, I was in awe. http://youtu.be/5tcMkhKSdZQ
47. Apocalypse Now - Willard's Drunken State
In case you didnt know, the scene in Apocalypse Now that sees Martin Sheens characters Benjamin L. Willard in a drunken state is real; Coppola just turned a camera on a let it roll. If that isnt pure evangelism I dont know what is. Also, it is one of the greatest scenes because it is only of the few to actually play the drunken martyr right; it actually put you in the drunkards state of mind, instead of simply showing it. http://youtu.be/QwlpKNLS3X8
