21. Independence Day: Resurgence

With Zoolander, Rings, Dory and Bourne all coming back after long absences, 2016 is the year of the unexpected sequel, and the one with the most Jurassic World-like weight of nostalgic expectation is definitely the Independence Day follow up.

The aliens are super pissed (and have upgraded from Windows 95, Will Smith's scene-stealing Captain Hiller has been mercilessly killed off, and everything is about to hit the fan because humanity has stupidly stolen alien tech to defend itself. So we're looking at a massive-scale explosive blockbuster with a side of technophobia and a heavy dose of Jeff Goldblum. Expectations should rightly be high.

If someone could just explain why it's not being released on July 4th, we'd be all set.
