50 Most Anticipated Movies Of 2017 - Ranked

After the revelation that it is actually the third in a planned series of Cloverfield movie universe releases, there was apparently some confusion over the status of Julius Onah's God Particle. Seemingly intent on further muddying the waters after their excellent 10 Cloverfield Lane deception, Paramount pulled the film from its release slate, only to reinstate a mysteriously untitled Cloverfield anthology movie for October. Don't worry, it's still seemingly the same film.

Whether the sci-fi thriller retains its original name remains to be seen, but all of that is simply distraction from what looks like a great story. With irresistible similarities to both Sunshine and Event Horizon, God Particle will see a team of astronauts (including David Oyelowo, Chris O'Dowd, Daniel Bruhl and Elizabeth Debicki) stranded on a space station when an experiment makes Earth disappear. Pretty careless.

It sounds like another great addition to the interstellar creeper sub-genre, and with a cast like that and the Cloverfield brand behind it, it's definitely one to watch.
