6. Beauty And The Beast
How could the best Disney animation of all time not immediately become the most hotly anticipated Disney live action remake of all time? It's simple maths. Or chemistry, actually.
The fifth Disney remake sees musical veteran Bill Condon facing the unenviable task of improving on perfection and breathing realistic life into the most cartoonish of stories. Luckily, he and Disney have been smart enough to adapt so purely that almost every scene from the trailer appears to mimic the original exactly. This is absolutely not a bad thing.
Of course that means there won't be much room for originality, but curiously, this film is a rare example where readaptation should resist reinvention consciously. And by adding a cast so gloriously talented (from Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, and Luke Evans as the humans to Sir Ian McKellen, Emma Thompson and Ewan McGregor as the enchanted servants) they've really done all they need to make it a massive draw.
Expect lots of money to be made.
