50 Most Anticipated Movies Of 2021

7. F9

F9 Vin Diesel
Universal

F9 is another film that was on the cusp of release when the decision was made to push it back over a year from its original May 22, 2020 date.

But given that the film will be one of Hollywood's biggest hopes for reigniting the theatrical movie business, it's a totally understandable move - the films have massive international appeal, and are of course best seen on the biggest, loudest screen possible.

The marketing for F9 suggests it's yet another ludicrously entertaining slice of big-budget nonsense, with franchise regular Justin Lin - who helmed most of the series' best entries - returning behind the camera.

In addition to all the usual names and faces, John Cena will co-star as Dom's (Vin Diesel) villainous brother Jakob, while Sung Kang will make his long-awaited return as the presumed-dead Han Lue.

With Michelle Rodriguez seemingly "confirming" the film would be partially set in outer space, it certainly seems like F9 will be the most hilariously outlandish Fast movie to date. Get hype.

Release Date: May 28
