50 Most Anticipated Movies Of 2022

50. Morbius

Morbius Jared Leto
Sony

The third entry into Sony's Spider-Man Universe - following both Venom movies - seeks to deepen the ranks of the web-slinger's rogues gallery by bringing Morbius, the Living Vampire (Jared Leto) to the big screen.

There is admittedly plenty to be skeptical about here - namely the SSU's middling output to date - but there's little denying that insatiable comic book fans are thirsty for more splashy big-screen content, and the fact it's Spider-Man-adjacent only fuels that further.

Sony are still playing their cards fairly close to the chest with this one, but given that Michael Keaton's Vulture is confirmed to make an appearance, it'll hopefully provide some worthwhile links to the MCU while building towards... something.

Morbius hits cinemas on April 1.

49. Halloween Ends

Halloween Kills
Blumhouse

Halloween Kills may have been a relatively disappointing follow-up to 2018's legacy sequel, but it nevertheless concluded with a shocking twist that set quite the emotionally charged stage for this bookending chapter.

While it's extremely difficult to believe that this will indeed be the final Halloween movie ever, it will probably close the book on Michael and Laurie's (Jamie Lee Curtis) four-plus-decade war one way or another.

Reportedly set four years after the events of Halloween Kills and set to incorporate the pandemic into its plot, Ends has the potential to be a totally unique and timely entry into the franchise, and hopefully also one that rewards those who've supported the series through thick and thin over the years.

Halloween Ends releases on October 14.
