Other than that, theres very little casting news, despite the fact that shooting was widely reported to be starting in October. Doug Liman is the man tasked with directing. Whats It About: The coolest X-Men character of all (shut up, its not Wolverine) gets his own chance to shine after the abomination that was X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Expect an origin movie for the reformed thief anti-hero who might join up with the main X-Men team after Apocalypse set in Louisiana. Therell probably be womanising, barbed quipping and card-sharking, and we might just get to see him breaking into Weapon X at the behest of Mr Sinister as per the comics. Why We Should Care: He's deserved his own movie since everyone watched Lost and realised that Sawyer dude was basically perfect for the role. And while Tatum isn't quite as well suited, he does have enough charisma to sell it. If the execution meets the promise of the character, and the capacity for magic-soaked Southern cool, it SHOULD be great.
