9. Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice
Status: Incoming quick Due: March 25th 2016 Key Players: Zack Snyder directs Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and a whole host of Man Of Steels returning cast who were definitely not supposed to forget exist. Other non-Justice League members include Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Scoot McNairy, Jeremy Irons and Holly Hunter. Whats It About: After pulling all of Metropolis down on top of General Zods head before snapping his neck, Superman faces a backlash from the citizens he protected, whipped up by Eisenbergs Lex Luthor, and Batman, who witnessed the destruction first hand. With Luthor pulling the strings, the heroes clash, before inevitably making friends to thwart the super-villains evil plot (possibly involving another giant villain) and sowing the seeds for the formation of the Justice League. Why We Should Care: Again, because Warner Bros really, really need us to. Without the concerns over Snyders self-restraint issues and the po-faced seriousness, it should be a stunning spectacle that will thrill fans in a different way to Christopher Nolans trilogy. Just as long as everyone remembers not to compare them too closely. The cast looks great, the story should be both weighty and action driven and the chance to see Ben Afflecks muscle-bound Batman is a ticket-seller in its own right.
