4. Tom Holland - Peter Parker/Spider-man (Captain America: Civil War)

Stepping into the red and blue leggings of a well-known character who has been on the big screen twice before, both to high praise, can be no easy task. Both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are commended for their Spider...men (there is equally some hatred for both as well because of course there is) but the majority would say they are both great in their respective series'. A lot of people wanted Andrew Garfield back for Captain America: Civil War, in fact.

Thankfully we did not get Garfield's big-haired bully version of Spider-man (told you there was some hatred), instead Tom Holland was cast and achieved the impossible; he made the other two portrayals obsolete.

Holland's Peter Parker is the perfect balance of twitchy awkwardness while his Spider-man is the fun-loving jokester that Garfield attempted and Maguire completely lacked. Holland fits into the role perfectly, reinvigorating the character and making him a genuine delight to watch on screen again.

The two sides of the character are now spot-on and the anticipation of seeing Holland continue to build from this solid foundation couldn't be higher.
