6 Best Uses For Henry Cavill In DCEU's Future

While reports on Cavill's involvement in the future of the DCEU say he's more likely to appear as a co-star than get another solo movie, it seems unlikely that they will try to negotiate for that at some point. Given the amount of effort that went into getting another Batman movie, it feels inevitable that we'll get a Superman standalone, and possibly while Cavill is still willing to return for it.

The question is, should it be approached as a sequel/continuation of his DCEU tenure, or more as a simple standalone Superman tale, similar to what they appear to doing with Pattinson's Batman? We've had the origin, and while we've had a Lex Luthor established, there are plenty of other villains in Superman's rogues gallery, Brainiac for example, that can be utilised for the movie, maybe introducing the bottle city of Kandor.

There may be those who will be desperate for Snyder to return to the character, but a brighter, more optimistic take, with a new director/filmmaker could be a welcome change of pace from Snyder's 'dark' version.

Call it 'Superman', cast a new villain, brighten up the costume. Warner Bros. should really give us a chance to see our big blue boy scout in a new light.
