6 Captain America: The Winter Soldier Deleted Scenes You Need To See

3. Fury Talks To Romanoff About His Faked Death

In this scene, while they are in hiding and making plans regarding how to best help Captain America in his plight as a S.H.I.E.L.D. fugitive, Black Widow and Nick Fury discuss the fact that the latter did not let the former know that he had faked his death. Fury tells Black Widow that he had to keep it as much of a secret as possible and that she would have done exactly the same thing in his situation - a fact with which she agrees. It shows that they are close to each other slightly more than any other Marvel Cinematic Universe scene has done before and, therefore, it is somewhat disappointing that it wasn't used in the final movie (though you have to imagine their relationship would best be focused on away from a Captain America offering). The former S.H.I.E.L.D. director then gives Black Widow a Photostatic Veil, which had been calibrated by Maria Hill to enable her to duplicate Councilwoman Hawley's appearance in order for her to infiltrate S.H.I.E.L.D.'s headquarters - a scene that plays out in the film proper. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3E88XnzkBaQ
