3. When Harry Met Sally (1989)
This entry on the list is here because of the culturally iconic scene from the 1989 romantic-comedy,
When Harry Met Sally, starring Billy Crystal (Monsters, Inc) and Meg Ryan (Sleepless in Seattle) as friends who wonder whether sex will hinder their relationship. Directed by Rob Reiner (This is Spinal Tap, Stand by Me) the film has become one of the best comedy films of all time. This led to the film being awarded a BAFTA for best picture and nominated for five Golden Globes. The scene when both friends who have lunch at Katzs Delicatessen in Manhattan are auguring about a mans ability to recognise when a women is faking an orgasm. However, Harry is unconvinced. This leads Sally to claim that men can not tell the difference then vividly fakes one as other diners watch with astonishment. Sally then casually returns to her meal as a nearby elderly woman places her order: Ill have what shes having. The line has since been voted as one of the funniest lines in the history of film by The New York Times.
