6 Future Billion Dollar Movies That Were Announced In 2013

5. Finding Dory (2016)

There were rumours flying around regarding a Finding Nemo sequel before there were even rumours of a Monsters Inc. one, which says a lot for how much time has passed between Pixar hinting that they might be working on this thing to the point where they officially came out and said: "Yep, Finding Dory is real - and it's coming in 2016!" The first Finding movie, Finding Nemo, was a huge success for Pixar, presumably helped by the fact that it was probably their most kid-friendly offering to date, albeit one that adults could enjoy, too. Finding Dory, then, will bring back most of the main cast from the original flick, with Ellen DeGeneres' forgetful fish Dory leading proceedings, presumably in a plot where she needs to be found (I know - we're so perceptive, right?). Whether or not - as was the case with Monsters University - people will be left wondering whether a follow-up movie was necessary... well, we'll have to wait 'til this thing hits cinemas. But going by the fact that Despicable Me 2 just nearly made a billion at the box office pretty much assures that Finding Dory is gonna soar.
