6 MORE Comic Book Movie Actors Replaced In The Sequels
Who even noticed the new Red Skull in Avengers: Infinity War at first?
There's a surprisingly rich thread of movies that replace actors before bringing out sequels. Sometimes it's because the film-makers realise their mistake in casting the originals in the first place and sometimes it's just down to scheduling issues... Whatever the case, characters turn up wearing someone else's face so frequently that it's almost not even distracting now.
As long as they're good, anyway.

6. Hugo Weaving (Red Skull)
The Replacement: Ross Marquand
When Red Skull surprisingly returned to the MCU as a Stone Guardian in Avengers: Infinity War, a fair few eyebrows were raised. After all, hadn't Hugo Weaving gone on record to say there was absolutely no way he'd consider returning? Had that just been an overblown reaction to the difficult preparation process required to transform him into Red Skull?
Apparently, not, because Infinity War's Red Skull isn't the same as The First Avenger's version, no matter how much you'll swear it. He is in fact played by Ross Marquand, who is best known for The Walking Dead and is an accomplished impressionist. So accomplished, actually, that it's almost impossible to tell that he's the one voicing Red Skull.
That's how you get around an unwilling actor!
