6 Movies That Would Be Way More Awesome With Superman
4. Gone In Sixty Seconds
Did you know that Nicolas Cage is a pretty huge Superman fan? In fact, he almost appeared as the character in what would have, based on the few production notes that we have left, been an inevitably awful Tim Burton film. So maybe Cage would have jumped on board for this pretty significant alteration to his version of Gone In Sixty Seconds, a forgettable remake of a far superior car-heist flick from the era to which they actually belonged: the 1970s. Hey, Superman was also a pretty notable part of the '70s movie scene. Two throwbacks for the price of one? In all seriousness, although this entry was chosen mainly because of its obscurity (and, okay, the inclusion of Nicolas Cage), it makes for a good stand-in for pretty much any heist plot that also involves car chase action sequences. How do you pull off a robbery on that scale, especially with a life-or-death deadline looming over you, when you have to do it in a city with a Superman watching every street corner? Do you get some mad science tech stuff on your side? Do you figure out his weaknesses and try to take him down, even if only temporarily? Or, if you're ostensibly a good guy in a bad situation like the protagonist in GISS, do you just explain your situation to the invulnerable, flying man and see if maybe he can help you out? Decisions, decisions.

Give it a listen. Five minutes. Maybe you'll dig it. Maybe you'll hate it. But at least you'll have tried something new.
