Deadpool

So Deadpool€™s tough to sell, huh? Well, actually, many of the things that present challenges to the traditional superhero movie mold can also be seen as unique benefits to the character and his movie. For example: He€™s the €œMerc With A Mouth€. Deadpool€™s no hero by the traditional standards. But when has an audience ever said no to a wise-cracking antihero? You only have to look as far as Peter Dinklage€™s Tyrion on Game of Thrones, or any number of other current characters in television or film to see how appealing they are to audiences. He breaks the fourth wall. Yeah. A lot. That€™s one of the things Deadpool is famous for in the comics, and according to Reese and Wernick, that€™s the way it€™ll be onscreen too. Now, breaking the fourth wall isn€™t exactly a typical device in film by any means, but so what? It€™s different. And sometimes, different is good. What do you think? Should Deadpool have a chance to slice and dice his way through our movie screens? Sound off in the comments below!
