Blessed is just an awesome man and it would be equally awesome to see him in a massive comic book movie franchise - it's as simple as that. Let's take a look at just a few of the things we haven't mentioned yet that make him so awesome... On one occasion when he was attempting to climb Everest, an avalanche started and he stood, faced it head, raised his fist to it and yelled "we came in peace!" As the oldest man to ever reach the North Pole, he encountered a polar bear and was forced to punch it while he was there - and, to quote the man himself directly, he did so "straight in its f***ing face." He is also a fully trained cosmonaut, having completed 800 hours of training, which has made him the number one civilian reserve ready to visit the International Space Station, which he will hopefully be doing soon. We mentioned his boxing past very briefly in the introduction, but we didn't mention that he has actually sparred with the Dalai Lama, who Blessed is good friends with. How cool is that?! Regarding his death, he had this to say in an interview with the Daily Mail: "There will be no funeral! Before I get too old and ill, I'll go to South America and live among the Pemon people and meditate. When the time is right they can throw my body into the volcano." We could relay awesome Brian Blessed facts all day, but you get the point. He's an amazing man and to see him in another role reminiscent of the one that everyone remembers him for would be incredible!
