6 Reasons Why David Fincher's Spider-Man Movie Would Have Been Awesome

5. Killing off Gwen Stacy

Fincher states up front that he would have the Green Goblin kill Gwen Stacy in the film. While her death wouldn't be a total surprise since her death is one of the most iconic moments in Spider-Man's mythology, killing off the main character's love interest would still be a bold move for a superhero movie. It'd also be a incredibly moving moment that goes past the spectacle to the tragic heart of the Spider-Man character.
