6 Reasons Why Tron 3 Needs To Happen Already

3. More Tron

Oddly enough, the titular character had little to do in Legacy. Although his Rinzler persona is present throughout Sam€™s entire stay in the Grid €“ and does some badass things along the way €“ the character is almost completely silent, with the only real appearance of Tron as audiences knew him from the first film occurring in a flashback to the circumstances around CLU€™s takeover. During the light jet dogfight in the film€™s third act, Rinzler regains some of his memories as Tron after seeing Kevin Flynn, uttering his iconic €œI fight for the users€ line before sacrificing himself to stop CLU from defeating our heroes. Fortunately, Tron survives, but ends up sinking into the Sea of Simulation, where his suit is last seen reverting to its normal white circuitry. With no definite answer provided by film€™s end about what happened to Tron, Tron 3 needs to bring its own namesake back to be the full-fledged hero he once was. After all, who doesn€™t want more Bruce Boxleitner?
