6 Shocking Signs Batman V Superman Could Actually Be Good

3. The IMAX Effect

Last week I attended an special IMAX with Laser presentation at Empire Leicester Square (it's important to the article, not just a brag, promise). And let me just say, totally aside from the Dawn Of Justice point, that Star Wars: The Force Awakens footage (only repeats of trailers sadly) looks incredible in the format - the star field has such depth that the opening crawl alone is guaranteed to be a jaw-dropping experience. But I digress - we're here to see me give morsels of praise on Man Of Steel 2. At the talk there was a lot of focus put on Dawn Of Justice, with the trailer shown and several interesting nuggets from the production revealed, to the point where, even alongside Star Wars, there was clear hype from the IMAX top brass about what they called Batman Superman. Maybe this is excitement similar to that of the Warner Bros. execs who reportedly gave a standing ovation to a rough cut of the film - anyone invested in Batman V Superman stands to make a lot of money - but given how IMAX is all about the experience there must at least be something visually exciting about here. Beyond that, Zack Snyder shot a good chunk of the film on the format, which promises some epic looking images and all the usual stuff Christopher Nolan goes on about.
