6 Surprising Developments That Could Rock The Marvel Cinematic Universe

6. Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man - Rumour 1: Iron Man On Marvel's Agents Of SHIELD?

We've heard a lot about Iron Man in recent weeks and we'll come to the cinematic releases next. For now, let's start with a smaller but just as exciting rumour; Iron Man making an appearance in the second season of Agents Of SHIELD. Robert Downey Jr was recently asked which TV show he would be willing to appear in. His answer: Agents of SHIELD. If there were ever going to be big superhero cameos on the TV show, Iron Man or Hulk would be the two most obvious choices. They can be involved with CGI / suits that wouldn't require Mark Ruffalo or Downey Jr to be directly involved. But of course that would only be half the fun. The chance to have Tony Stark meet Phil Coulson, perhaps discovering that his old friend isn't dead and is now running SHIELD, would be a great opportunity for comedy and drama. If the TV show is wondering how they can top last year's 'Hydra has taken over SHIELD story line', perhaps the help of the Iron Man for an episode could be just the ratings-winning event they need.
