5. Amanda Seyfried Kind Of Looks Like Gollum Doesnt She?
You can guarantee that at no stage during Amanda Seyfrieds career has anyone ever likened her to a drug addict-like Hobbit ravaged by a singular addiction to a dark magic object. Yes, she has prominent eyes, but is that really enough for her to be called Gollum? The best comic moments in Ted 2s dialogue (as opposed to the more situational zany stuff) works because of the grains of truth (the Samuel L Jackson quote and the names of weed strands for instance) but by the time Ted starts bringing up the Gollum comment, it feels like scatter-gun comedy that makes no sense. But then at least Seyfried was clearly game for the jibe. Why wouldnt she be: literally nobody is going to come out of that film nodding at that particular witty barb, are they? if comedy is truth, then consider that one a stony faced lie.
