67 WTF Moments From The Terminator Franchise

28. Ridiculous Xenadrine Product Placement - Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines

No single product placement in the franchise (so far) is as obnoxious as the massive ad for weight loss product Xenadrine in the form of a gigantic 18-wheeler which the T-X finds itself slammed into. As she recovers from the collision, the framing ensures that the product's logo takes a prominent place on-screen, and yeah, there's just no defending this one. Like, at all.

27. A Plot Twist Ruined By Marketing - Terminator Salvation

The Terminator franchise does, admittedly, have a storied history of ruining its own plot twists, but the one to date that really stings is the reveal that Marcus Wright is, of course, a man-machine hybrid. It's revealed over an hour into the movie, but the trailers rather stupidly gave it away for free, meaning that all those hints in the movie are rendered completely pointless by anyone who even vaguely remembers the trailers before seeing it. This is just one example, though: some of T2's trailers ruined the twist of Arnie playing a good machine this time, and Terminator Genisys wantonly spoiled the fact that John Connor is now a villain. Marketing: you're doing it right...
