3. The Avengers

Alright, I know it's not from our childhood so I'm cheating slightly. But I just found this picture hilarious. Here, we see Chris Hemsworth trying to get the better of somebody in a really awful Halloween costume. Only, it isn't. It's actually what a movie with an astronomically huge budget can buy you. A ridiculous amount of work went into perfecting The Hulk, but this motion-capture suit was a vital part. Why? To fully translate The Hulk's incredible (Sorry, I had to) size onto the big screen, this is how close-up fight scenes had to be filmed. It's actually quite the departure from previous films, where The Hulk was simply a CGI character and could not be interacted with on-set. This new technology changed all that, allowing Ruffalo to interact with the other superheroes whilst he was very, very angry. Ultimately, It became one of the standout scenes in The Avengers, so obviously the costume worked.
