7 Big Questions About The Deadpool Film

7. What Rating Will It Be?

This one is pretty crucial. The difference between a Deadpool movie rated 12A and 15 is gargantuan. Swearing, blood, gore and innuendos are almost necessary components of the character, so a lower rating would surely hinder the ability of the film to adapt the much loved character to screen, right? The Wolverine was a 12A, and that was a pretty brutal film, so even if Deadpool does receive the lower rating it is hardly a death knell for the movie. A lower rating would also mean they can market the film to a younger audience, and this can only mean that 20th Century Fox would be willing to pour more money into the movie. There has been no confirmation on what rating the film will be, and while some corners of the internet will be cowering in fear that Deadpool will be tamed by the lower rating, the 12A rating is hardly childish. Most superhero/comic book films have been this rating, and the genre has grown into an immensely successful one.
