2. Did Warner Bros. Hire Kevin Smith To Write A Fake Batman V Superman Script?
If you were anywhere near the internet this week, you probably noticed a new string of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice rumors that hinted at the possibility of seeing
four more villains in the film: Amanda Waller, Victor Zsasz, deadly assassin David Cain, and Morgan Edge;
followed by reports about more characters and easter eggs, including Jason Todd, Green Lantern Kyle Rayner, The Dark Knight Returns' Robin Carrie Kelley, Thanagar (the homeworld of Hawkman's race), Hob's Bay, and more. Well, as it turns out, those rumors may have come from a fake BVS script that was leaked, and written by none other than Kevin Smith. According to
MovieWeb, Smith was actually hired by Warner Bros. to write and leak the script, as a way to draw people off the scent of Snyder's actual production. Whether or not this is true remains to be seen, but it brings up some interesting questions. The biggest question is: What rumors are from the leaked script, and which aren't? I'm assuming that the villain and easter egg stories aren't true, but what about past rumors, like Jason Momoa showing up as Aquaman? We don't have an answer for that yet, but luckily Smith has proven to be an honest (and very talkative) guy, so perhaps he'll open up about the details soon.
