7 Bizarre Movie Prequels You Had No Idea Actually Existed

1. Caravan of Courage: Ewok Adventure (1984)

21349_3 A lot of people think that George Lucas invented the Ewoks so that he could use them to sell a ton of merchandise. Some fans try to defend the Ewoks, like they were "OK" or "not as bad as people say" or something, but to those people I say: Caravan of Courage: Ewok Adventure, which serves a recorded proof that George Lucas doesn't give a single solitary about Star Wars, and will sacrifice his credibility if it means he can sell cuddly toys and make money. Just consider the name for a while. Caravan of Courage. If you can still keep your eyes open long enough to reach the end of this article, the plot concerns two children, brother and sister, who set out to find their lost parents on Endor. Chronologically, it's a prequel to Return of the Jedi, and takes place sometime between that movie and The Empire Strikes Back. Embarrassed with The Star Wars Holiday Special, Lucas took full creative control over Courage ensure that it came out good. Did he bail on day one or something? It goes without saying, but there is simply no reason for this to exist. Fans of Star Wars don't like Ewoks. Who was this made for? Children, of course. Children who could ask their parents to buy them products with Ewoks printed on them, that's who. And it probably worked. And now George Lucas has sold his company and is donating most of his billions, to, uh... charity? Okay, Lucas, you win. I'm still annoyed about this, though, you genius son of a bitch.
