7 Comic Book Movie Endings That Really Needed A Sequel

Honourable Mention: Doctor Strange

For a Marvel movie that was critically well-received, banked $677m, and featured an A-list actor who is now an Avengers star, it's curious that a sequel to Doctor Strange hasn't yet been confirmed.

While it's tempting to think it's simply linked to Infinity War and Avengers 4, that hasn't stopped them announcing the likes of Spider-Man: Far From Home or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, or confirming there'll be a Black Panther 2.

Doctor Strange certainly has reason to return too: his first solo movie ended with a major tease for Chiwetel Ejiofor's Mordo becoming the new villain, and there's plenty more to do with the Sorcerer Supreme. A sequel is very likely to happen, but it still feels odd that so little has been said about it.
