5. George Clooney
Clooney has actually acted with Tarantino before. The two played brothers Seth and Richard Gecko in the 1996 film
From Dusk Till Dawn, which was written by Tarantino. Still, Clooney has not been in a Tarantino directed film, so he's eligible for this list for that reason. A veteran of the Coens, Clooney has shown he's able to handle oddball and dark humor with turns in
O Brother, Where Art Thou and
Burn After Reading. He can play a nitwit (
Burn After Reading) or an intelligent criminal (
Ocean's Eleven) and has the ability to pull off more serious moments. Having written
Dusk Till Dawn, Tarantino knows what dialogue would work with Clooney and make sure it's the right fit. Clooney's got a full slate as he continues work on
Monuments Men before heading off to Brad Bird's
Tomorrowland. If his IMDb page is to be believed, he also has several projects in development including a potential
collaboration with Paul Greengrass and Argo writer Chris Terrio ; an intriguing crime film set in New York City. It's hard to tell if he'll ever find to time to work with Tarantino again, but it would be fun to see.
