5. The Red Queen - Alice In Wonderland
Yes, yes, we've all heard the 'off with their heads bit' more than enough, but really, the story about how the Red Queen became the vicious, self-important woman we know her to be hasn't really been explored in a manner that suitably justifies the long history of this character and her status as a true queen of mean in the world of Wonderland. In a comparison to 'The Wizard of Oz' (a girl journeys into a strange world, teams up with strange creatures and defeats a villainous matriarch), Elphaba got a suitably cool and wonderful backstory in 'Wicked' and it'd be a shame if at some point down the road, the Red Queen didn't get a similar treatment.
