5. Welcome To Earth! Victory Cigar - Independence Day
"Welcome to Earth!" It's such a great one liner, and the scene is simply brilliant. Will Smith has just gone up against an alien invasion in an F18 fighter jet, had one hell of an aerial battle, shot down an alien and parachuted out of his exploding plane. As if that wasn't enough for the Fresh Prince, he strides over to the stricken alien ship, opens the hatch and punches the alien in the face. And as if THAT wasn't enough for our awe-struck 90's minds, he says perhaps the best one-liner he'll ever say. And THEN he lights a cigar in a victory celebration. The final scene of hit sci-fi movie Independence Day features yet more cigars, as Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum return to earth after destroying the alien mother ship. The two mid-90s stars light up whilst onboard the mothership, and happily wave goodbye to the aliens who are about to be vaporized. If there's only two things you can take away from Independence Day it is this: 1. Smoking is very cool (unless you're an alien) and 2. Independence Day is a pretty dumb movie (unless you're Will Smith or Jeff Goldblum).
