4. Share The Load, And The Spoils, With Marvel

For a while there, it looked as if Fox might have been about to hand the rights for the Fantastic Four back to Marvel. It wasn€™t to be though, and any suggestions that a deal had been done was swiftly nixed by both sides. Still there€™s more than one way to skin a cat, just ask Sony. If Marvel and Sony can get around a table and work out that the best thing they could do for the ailing Spider-Man franchise was to introduce the character to the MCU and let Marvel exercise some creative control then why can€™t Fox do the same? Marvel and Fox striking a partnership over the FF would seem to be the best bet all around, giving Fox get the benefit of a second superhero franchise to compliment the X-Men whilst ensuring they don€™t have to do all the heavy lifting. Marvel also has a knack of finding interesting genres to fit their properties so it would be interesting to see them dig deep into the family dynamic. They could potentially mix things up further and make the FF a period piece. The team hit shelves in the 60s, so why couldn€™t the film be set in that time of cultural upheaval?
