7 Great Batman Characters Yet To Appear In A Movie
6. Agatha Zorbatos
You're no doubt familiar with Arkham Asylum, Gotham's home/revolving door for the criminally insane. But what of Gotham's non-insane criminals? What of the mob bosses, henchmen, and petty crooks convicted of breaking the law? Well, those guys are whisked away to Blackgate Penitentiary, a maximum security prison/island found in Gotham Bay.
And who would have the mental and physical fortitude to be Blackgate's warden? Agatha Zorbatos, that's who.
You have to question the state of mind of anyone wanting to take on her role and not want to be as unnoticeable as possible. But no: despite sporting a shock of white hair and an eye patch - and, oh yeah, being a woman in a male-dominant environment - Zorbatos struts around Blackgate like she owns the place. Because she effectively does, commanding respect from many of her charges.
But Zorbatos is no saint. She's not averse to exploiting her power and position, and in an increasingly progressive film industry, it's always interesting to see a female character who's not only strong, but nuanced, too.
Who Should Play Her: It'd have to be an actress capable of displaying both femininity and masculinity without one overshadowing the other, as well as a knack for mental sparring. Lena Headey would suit the character down to the ground - especially off the back of Game of Thrones - and her performance as MaMa in Dredd saw her deftly play both victim and abuser.
