1. It Comes Out On Valentine's Day
While it's not entirely surprising that this comes out on Valentine's Day, given the ultra-serious tone of the film, it seems like a cruel joke to have this get released on that holiday. How hateful can you be? Even the most open-minded boyfriend would cringe at the thought of having to see this movie with their significant other, no matter how much he loves her. It's one thing to see a stupid romantic comedy, or a Nicholas Sparks movie, but this is taking it one step too far. This is a movie that belongs on the Lifetime Channel, not in theaters across the country. Anybody who is in a healthy relationship should have no reason to see this movie on Valentine's Day. This won't validate the current relationship you have with your loved one, if anything, it will smother you with its romance or make your relationship seem not romantic enough. This movie looks like it was designed for those who will be alone on Valentine's Day, not for couples. I've been married for over two years so I can no longer relate, but perhaps watching Alex Pettyfer and Gabriella Wilde's beautiful bodies caressing each other will make you feel better about yourself? I would think it would just be depressing. You can't hate "The Hobbit" movies and think that "Endless Love" is a movie worth seeing. They're both fantasy worlds featuring characters that would never exist in real life. At least "The Hobbit" doesn't feature a bunch of dwarfs making out with each other by a fireplace. Although, that would have made the first half of "An Unexpected Journey" a lot more interesting...
