7 Harry Potter Characters Who Were ALMOST Sorted Into A Different House
6. Filius Flitwick
Professor Flitwick proved that size was no guarantee of power. He was a tiny wizard, but he was also one of the most skilled characters in the Harry Potter series. And in addition to being the Charms Master, he was also Head of Ravenclaw House.
But despite his remarkable intellect, Flitwick’s time with the Sorting Hat was much longer than the average Hogwarts student. The Hat was torn between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, and such a conflict is understandable given how brave Flitwick was throughout his life. He opposed Voldemort in both wizarding wars, and he was also a duelling champion during his youth. In other words, he certainly wasn’t afraid to put himself in danger.
As with McGonagall, Flitwick was well-suited to both Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, and he was always destined to excel regardless of which house he was placed into.
