7 Major Reveals From The Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Prequel Comics
5. Lex Luthor Is Spying On Batman
Lex Luthor is shown to be spying on a committee meeting where those present are discussing Superman's heroic acts and what would happen if he were to interject himself into wars. This once again points to Lex plotting against the Man of Steel, but far more interesting than that is the fact that the villain actually has eyes on the Caped Crusader. We already know that Lex is fascinated by metahumans, and with secret cameras all around Gotham City, he's managed to capture Batman on film fighting criminals and even has a close up look at his weapons and the Batmobile. All of that will no doubt come in handy if he intends to take him down, but could the villain in actual fact be trying to work out if the vigilante is capable of squaring off with Superman? After all, a recent feature in Empire seemed to indicate that Batman and Lex will be working side by side (at least to begin with), and this comic in some ways may confirm that. It's also worth noting that Lex is spying on Batman as he takes down Firefly, and those two crooks do allude to a mysterious employer during their conversation. Could it be that Lex set the whole thing up to get a better look at The Batman in action? That's definitely implied, and seeing how this ends up tying into Batman v Superman should be fascinating.
