7 Marvel Romances That MCU Fans Don't Know About

2. Jessica Jones And Ant-Man

Jessica Jones Ant Man
Marvel Comics

During Jessica Jones' story in the short-lived Alias series, it is revealed that she hit it off semi-serious with Ant-Man number 2, Scott Lang.

This is a really hard one to imagine in film and TV terms, with JJ's general antisocial nature in the Netflix shows and Scott Lang's gag-popping tomfoolery in the Ant-Man movies. But these attributes weren't quite so intense in the comics and therefore the two characters were able find more common ground.

They even survived an intervention from the extremely nasty Killgrave, AKA Purple Man, who brainwashed Jessica into envisioning her shrinking boyfriend as a corpse covered in ants. Alas none of it was real, nor was Killgrave's follow-up vision of Lang misbehaving double-fare with Luke Cage and Ms Marvel.

But then, cold hard reality kicked in. The problem is that nothing is ever easy or uncomplicated with Jessica Jones. Their relationship was rocked by a pregnancy, and the father turned out to be none other than Mr Power Man himself, Luke Cage. As one can expect, Scott took exception to the news, and their relationship was forever doomed to the quantum realm.
