7 Most Disappointing MCU Movies (So Far)
3. Ant-Man
Ant-Man's disappointment started long before the movie was even released, what with original writer-director Edgar Wright bailing from the project due to "creative differences" with Marvel.
Filling his directorial shoes - with a re-worked script, no less - was always going to be a tough sell, and though the film turned out decently entertaining, it ultimately just left fans pining for Wright's unfulfilled vision.
From its washed-out, TV-aping visuals to Peyton Reed's mediocre direction, wasting the brilliant Corey Stoll with a mediocre villain and the groan-worthy Baskin Robbins product placement, Ant-Man turned out a cinematic shoulder shrug.
Paul Rudd and Michael Pena did their best, but without a captivating creative spark the film failed to make the most of their talents or the pint-sized superhero at the forefront.
