7 Perfect Casting Choices For The Justice League Movie

1. Willem Defoe As The Voice Of Starro

There aren't a great many details floating around about the Justice League movies apart from a core cast list. As such we don't know when or where the events will take place, what will bring our heroes together to fight for the first time or indeed what the stakes will be. It can assumed, given a lack of evidence to the contrary, that Jessie Eisenberg's Lex Luthor is in prime position to be the main threat that the Justice League will have to deal with, but it would be a shame if Starro The Conqueror didn't get a look in. A megalomaniacal alien starfish with a giant eye and prehensile limbs (and an aversion to citrus fruits), Starro may look like he should be the boss in a video game, but his ability to asexually reproduce himself and disperse mind controlling miniature spores could be a good global threat for the Justice League. Who knows, maybe Luthor could be responsible for summoning Starro to Earth to bring about his own twisted version of peace in a neat callback to Alan Moore's original, unfilmed, ending to Watchmen. Obviously a live action performance won't be required for the monstrous Starro, but Warner and DC would need to find a suitably menacing voice actor. Step forward Willem Dafoe, frequent movie villain, one time Green Goblin and owner of possibly the most sinister voice ever to inhabit a frozen food company's mascot in an advert. Dafoe has the advantage of being a big name with a fantastic voice that isn't always immediately recognisable who could lend gravitas to a CGI threat. C'mon DC, you know what to do.
