7 Reasons Batman V Superman Should Still Leave You Optimistic For The DC Universe
1. It Surely Can't Get Any Worse Than This
Let's be blunt - Batman V Superman is not a very good movie. It is incredibly shot, it is well acted, and some of the action sequences are the best seen in any comic book movie. There are some major strengths to the film, and despite what others are saying, I think it is ludicrous to suggest that it is boring.
Ultimately, though, it was not that good. And given the shambolic reception it has received, it is hard to imagine that we could ever get something that was not an improvement on this effort.
Any company with any experience whatsoever in filmmaking should be able to learn from what just happened, and there is no way that the same glaring errors should be repeated to the same degree as the Universe expands. Everything that this film got wrong is relatively easy to fix, and it seems incomprehensible that DC won’t be able to remedy these issues going forward. The resources, the talent, and the legacy involved are too great for them to stumble like this again.
They really can not do worse than this movie.
