7 Reasons Why Iron Man 3 Is An Awful Film

6. Where's Rhodey?

iron_man_3_header-600x300 Just for the record I'm not talking about Terrance Howard. Is it just me or did Don Cheadle/Rhodey/War Machine/Iron Patriot seem curiously absent for most of the film? I remembered that he showed up for a quick little surf and turf with Tony early in the movie, but was curiously absent until the final third of the film which doesn't make one bit of sense. Don't you think that Happy Hogan almost getting blow to bits, the Stark mansion getting destroyed, and Tony Stark almost supposedly dying, would cause Rhodey to perhaps be around a little bit more.? At the very least we could have had a scene of him in his Iron Patriot costume searching for his friend. For that matter, where was War Machine in Avengers when New York was getting totally destroyed? It would have been great to see him show up and offer some assistance since he has the means to do so and Stark is his buddy. Then again, I guess Stark and Rhodey have one of those deep friendships where they're never there for each other. On another unrelated note, did you notice how much Cheadle bulked up for Iron Man 3? Maybe Rhodey channeled all his worries about Tony being dead into a harder work out schedule.

Raymond Woods is too busy watching movies to give you a decent bio. If he wasn't too busy watching movies and reading books about movies and listening to podcasts about movies, this is what he'd tell you. "I know more about film than you. Accept this as a fact and we might be able to talk."
