3. The Trailer Isn't In 3-D

A minor gripe, perhaps, but a gripe nonetheless, and one that the trailer lacks:
Man of Steel was another in a long line of movies to have been post-converted into 3-D, presumably in the hope that movie fans would have expected it to have been shot in 3-D in the first place ("It's Superman!"), and thought that it would therefore look good in the format as a result. It's no surprise that this last minute changed was induced, of course, because money: I'm just surprised that the movie wasn't shot in 3-D first in the first place.
Man of Steel's 3-D was, in fact, horrible, and it only made sitting through some of the movie's more CG-heavy scenes even more boring than they already were. You just couldn't see a thing, and I like me a bit of Michael Shannon, especially when he's chewing the scenery. Why did I see it in 3-D, you ask? No choice. My local cinema has two screens, and both of them were playing the movie in 3-D. Obviously there's no way that the online trailer could have been in 3-D, and I for one see that as a major upside. The trailer looks glorious in HD. Isn't that enough?
