7 Reasons The Wolf Of Wall Street Makes Us Bow Down To Scorsese

6. DiCaprio Is An Unhinged Riot

Not only is it evident from Jordan€™s personal memoirs that he was a cynical and crude nutcase, DiCaprio dug even future into the memories of his real life counterpart in person behind the scenes, and it shows. DiCaprio wanted to capture €œevery little embarrassing detail€ of the real Jordan Belfort, even it meant having candlewax in his ass, literally. It€™s not just DiCaprio€™s extreme dedication to capturing Jordan physically that stands out, but the never-ending energetic rush of adrenaline and enthusiasm present in every action or piece of dialogue too. Every time Jordan steps on stage to deliver a battle-cry of greed to his minions, you can€™t help but enter a state of shock in response to how much intensity is pouring from the speech. And then there€™s the onslaught of comedy -both physical and situational- that round out the insanity. Without spoiling, there is a scene of pure insanity that involves Jordan entering what he calls the €œCerebral Palsy€ phase. It€™s honestly one of the most brilliant and hilarious moments in all of cinema.
