7 Reasons The Wolf Of Wall Street Makes Us Bow Down To Scorsese

5. The Supporting Cast Is Impressive Too

Img13 As much as I would to love to continue praising DiCaprio€™s wild performance, it would be a crime not to commend everyone else involved. DiCaprio is truly just a centerpiece for the chaotic shenanigans, playing off of some gut busting improvisational material from Jonah Hill€™s equally deplorable Donnie character. There are scenes involving Jonah Hill with various characters that realistically could have gone on for minutes more with no one objecting; his off the cuff dialogue is that golden. I imagine his response to the introduction of Naomi Belfort (Margot Robbie) will never be forgotten, for various reasons. Matthew McConaughey as mentioned has a short stint serving as Jordan€™s stockbroking tutor, but his character is so warped and estranged that it€™s unfortunate he doesn€™t get much more screen-time. His views on achieving success seriously need to be chronicled into a separate film; it€™s that ridiculous and hilarious. There€™s also just a toppling amount of situational comedy resulting from general camaraderie between everyone at the firm. Whether it€™s Jordan€™s father Max (Rob Reiner) flipping out over a $26,000 dinner bill or banter between Jordan€™s key buffoons, it€™s hard to pinpoint a moment when there isn€™t something entertaining on-screen.
