Possibly the greatest entry on this list because he took the role for noble purposes, Raul Julia rocked the universe in Street Fighter, an obviously poor-but-awesome film he made brilliant just by turning up. He stole the show completely and utterly as M.Bison, making Chun-Lis motivation look ridiculous by saying he couldnt remember killing her parents because murder is just something he does on a Tuesday. With lines like that, its no wonder this goes down in the pantheon of awesome performances. Yet the reason he took the role in the first place is both sad and brilliant. By the time shooting for Street Fighter began, Julia knew he was dying of cancer so he chose Street Fighter as a gift to his grandkids, who were fans of the series. It might explain why Julia hams it up like a machine all the way through this, yelling lines about power while looking like a stripper postman. He clearly just wanted to go out with a memorable bang, and by god, he managed it. The bonus point? He used his fee from this film to set his family up for the foreseeable future. That, everyone, is the mark of an awesome man.
